It’s totally unfair to knock other people’s culture without taking the time to understand it, but what the heck, let’s do it anyway.
Would you eat a heaping helping of camel, ostrich, or kangaroo testicles?
If you said yes, then I have the number of a great psychologist! Or, you should have checked out this year’s “World Testicle Cooking Championship,” in a remote village in the mountains of Serbia.

Never mind “shock and awe,” we got McDonald’s. Export McDonald’s all over the world and everyone will be obese, sick, and dying of heart attacks in no time. Oh wait, we already do.
People love McDonald’s, next to Mickey Mouse and Sponge Bob, Ronald McDonald is our favorite friendly face.
But McDonald’s is a strange brew. Those beloved burgers don’t decay, they last forever. And scientists say is the fat that keeps McDonald’s hamburgers immortal.

Do you believe that exercise is a poor way to lose weight? Perhaps a hard session at the gym makes you feel like eating everything in sight.
There are certainly mixed thoughts on this one. Some people don’t even want to look at food following a workout. But, others feel totally starving post-workout.
It really seems like a bit of a cruel joke if you’re trying to lose a few pounds, and all the exercise does for you is to make you feel hungrier.

If I had to pick foods that represent the heart and soul of New York City, that list would include: pizza, street cart pretzels, gyros, and hotdogs, McSorley’s beer, and bagels… especially bagels!
But New York bagels are under attack. In an attempt to raise funds, the cash strapped Albany legislators are enforcing a tax on bagels. If a bagel is sliced, it’s a prepared food; therefore it is subject to sales tax.

No-one’s going to deny the huge problem childhood obesity poses. But what’s the solution?
I recently came across some interesting ideas from Pamela Cytrynbaum, in her article for Psychology Today.
She says, often when her daughter starts at a new place, she will write a short note, and place it into her lunchbox. It goes something like this:

Never underestimate the power of a shapely shoulder to give your body a lean, fit look. Daily Spark has seven ways to achieving stronger shoulders.
What’s the fastest way I know to get kids to eat their fruits and veggies? Put it on a stick. For some reason a fruit or veggie dressed up “kabob-style” always leads to a request for “more!” from my kids. Great idea for summer parties, too!

No it isn’t. Science be damned! If you’re an adult and you still won’t eat vegetables because they’re “gross,” you’re behaving like an infant, and you need to grow up.
But, odds are your parents did a lousy job of introducing you to new foods. So, if you were raised on a diet of potato chips, snack cakes, fast food, and cola, I guess its not totally you’re fault.
But still, you’re not seven anymore, eat some broccoli, it won’t kill you!
New research by the University of Pathetic Excuses, suggests being a picky eater may not just be a childish mindset, but rather a medical condition. Oh boy…

If you can’t quite imagine your day without a soda or two, it’s definitely time to think again.
Unless, that is, you don’t care much about your body, and the long-term effects soft drinks can have on your well-being.

Not only do people have to deal with the issue of being labeled as ‘fat’ or as ’skinny’, but now it seems there is a new label becoming popular in the world of diet & fitness.
The healthy Boy Blog recently wrote a great article outlining what the new term ’skinny fat’ means.
